Of all the makeup categories, foundation has historically been the hardest to shop for because it’s challenging to find something that matches your skin tone perfectly (especially since different parts of our faces tend to be lighter or darker depending on how much sun exposure they get). And honestly, we don’t really like the feeling of foundation on our skin.

Alas, we’ve tried many different formulas over the years and haven’t been this delighted by one since we first came across Armani’s iconic Luminous Silk foundation…over a decade ago.

Instead, it takes the best qualities from each of those things (i.e., the coverage of a foundation with the lightweight texture of a tinted moisturizer and the skincare benefits of a BB cream) and gives us the sort of fresh-faced glow we didn’t think was possible after the age of 20.
