Meghan Markle Just Shared a New Photo of Son Archie (and He's Getting So Big)

Royal fans were extremely surprised this week to find out that Meghan Markle would be sitting down foranotherinterview—only this time withEllen DeGeneres(sorry, Oprah).

Today, the Duchess of Sussex appeared as a VIP guest onThe Ellen DeGeneresShowwhere she did everything from participate in a prank to shareson Archieand daughter Lilibet'sHalloween costumesfrom this year.

But perhaps the most exciting moment came while DeGeneres "grilled" the duchess about her new book,The Bench. Markle revealed that her son, who is now two years old, spotted an illustration in the book featuring himself, his father Harryand some of his favorite animals. She told DeGeneres, "Archie gets very excited tosee his dogsand tosee his chickensalso in there."

And that's when it happened. Abrand-new picture of Archie(who is clearly getting bigger by the day) appeared on the screen. (You can see it at the 3:53 mark in the video above.) In the photo, Archie faces away from the camera holding a basket to presumably feed his chickens. He's sporting a full head of red hair just like Dad. Oh, and he's donning adorable yellow rain boots.

The release of the photo might shock followers of the royal fam as Prince Harry and Markle arenotoriously privateabout their family and their children. However, it seems that they made an exception. DeGeneres has clearly spent plenty of time around the royal offspring and went on to describe Archie as "a gentle soul."

Like mother and father, like son.
