The movie introduces viewers to Billy Beane (Pitt), the general manager of the Oakland A’s who’s convinced that baseball needs to be reinvented. So, he teams up with an Ivy League graduate named Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), who helps him challenge the sport’s old-fashioned traditions.

Although the story is based on the namesake book by Michael Lewis, the screenplay was written by Steven Zaillian (The Irishman) and Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing).
