Snook confirmed that she’spregnant with her first child. In March 2023, the actress debuted her growing baby bump at the premiere ofSuccessionseason 4. Snook was accompanied by her husband, Dave Lawson.

2. She’s Australian

The actress was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and showed promise as a performer from a young age. Her father was a swimming-pool salesman and her mother an elder-care provider, so she never anticipated making it in the film and TV world. Yet after she studied drama in high school, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (aka Australia’s version of Julliard).

3. She Made it Big in Oz Before Coming Stateside

Snook got her start in Sydney’s theater circuit but eventually went on to work in film and television. She’s won Australian Oscar/Golden Globe-equivalents (Australian Academy for Cinema and Television Arts awards). She’s also snagged the Film Critic’s Circle of Australia Best Actress in Lead Role award twice and the Australian Film Critics Association statue for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her 2015 filmThese Final Hours.

4. Playing Shiv onSuccessionWasn’t Her First U.S. Role

Prior to landing her role as Siobhan “Shiv” Roy on the hit HBO series, Snook appeared inSteve Jobs,The Glass Castleand even Netflix’sBlack Mirror. She recalled her audition forSuccessionin an interview withGQ,saying she assumed “Eh, this is out of my league. I’ll just come and do it and get out of here. Free trip to L.A. for a weekend and see my friends. This’ll be great.” Lo and behold it worked out and her character has now been catapulted to the forefront of the series.

5. She’s an Avid Traveler

After she wrapped filming on season two ofSuccession, Snook jetted off to Croatia, Italy and Spain. Sounds like our kind of vacation. She toldVulturethat travel is in her blood. Her mother met her father (they’re now divorced) while traveling in Papua New Guinea and her sisters live there and in London, respectively.
