The ‘White Lotus’ Creator Is Open to a Prequel—and It Would Focus on a Fan-Favorite Character

Have fans seen the last of坦尼娅McQuoidinThe White Lotusuniverse? The show’s creator,Mike White, isn’t so sure.

Fans who eagerly tuned intoThe White Lotusseason two finale witnessed (spoiler alert!) McQuoid, who is played byJennifer Coolidge, meet an untimely fate. But viewers may yet see more of the richer-than-rich diva. (*祈祷*)

During a press conference event at theVivid Sydney Festivalon Saturday, June 10, White was asked if he would ever be open to creating a prequel series centered around McQuoid.

PerEntertainment Weekly, the writer and director said, “I absolutely think that’s possible. We were just talking about that. It’s a funny idea.”

Though Coolidge will not reprise her role inTheWhite Lotusseason three, there is one fan-favorite character returning for the future installment.

Back in April,Varietyexclusively reported that actress Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as Belinda Lindsey (who was first introduced in season one) in the upcoming season ofThe White Lotus.
