Alexandra Breckenridge Dishes on ‘Virgin River’ Season 5 (& It’s Bad News, Folks)

Don’t shoot the messenger, butVirgin Riverfans may need to wait even longer for season 5.

Star Alexandra Breckenridge (who plays Melinda “Mel” Monroe) recently sat down for an interview withGlamourmagazine．这位39岁的证实,有些机汇erlap between her two shows,This Is UsandVirgin River．

Unfortunately, she indirectly hinted thatVirgin Riverseason 5 could be postponed because production didn’t start on time. However, the delay allowed for her return toThis Is Us(where she plays Sophie) to happen.

“We were supposed to start shooting season five ofVirgin Riverin March, but it was pushed to July,” she said. “So, had we started when we were supposed to, I don’t know that Sophie and Kevin would’ve ended up together.”

Breckenridge explained that she had tried to make both shows work in the past, but the production schedules were always a conflict.

“So, I ended up onVirgin River,and whenThis Is Usreached out to have me come back in season four, I was already filming season two ofVirgin River, which is great news,” she said. “But unfortunately, because of scheduling conflicts, I couldn’t do it.”

Breckenridge continued, “So, that was shelved for a while. They’ve been trying to get me to come back since I’ve been onVirgin River．”

One thing’s for sure:Virgin Riverseason 5 will be worth the wait.
