My Dog Tried the New Inflatable Travel Kennel from Diggs—and Once He Went in, He Didn’t Want to Come Out

The new travel kennel is essentially a blow-up suite for your dog to enjoy on-the-go. The Enventur comes in three different sizes (my 12-pound dog fit perfectly in the small) and deflates and rolls up for easy carrying/transport. The sides and walls are air-filled to provide cushioned comfort while your dog is inside. There are no metal bars as with a traditional kennel, but there are vented windows so Bubbie can look out (or enjoy a cross-breeze). Oh, and the whole thing is waterproof, so clean-up is pretty darn easy.

Simply attach thelight-weight pump(sold separately for $75) and fill the kennel with air. The whole process takes less than 30 seconds. The kennel features zippers on the end so you can close those once your dog is inside (like for bedtime) or leave those open so your dog can come and go as he pleases (like if you’re enjoying a day on the beach).

The Enventur is actually pretty fast to inflate. And once Bubbie tried it out (picture above), he made himself right at home. In fact, he didn’t want to come out (until he heard the rustling of the treat bag, but I get it—such temptation would prove too much for any dog).

As advertised, the kennel is easy to clean. It seemed like there was plenty of space for Bubs to spread out and get cozy. And most importantly to me, there were no metal bars involved, so I didn’t have to look at his sad eyes as he stared at me wondering why he was relegated to a crate.

Are There Any Downsides?

The deflated kennel is a bit large (even the small size), as is the pump, which likely won’t be a problem if you’re traveling with a car, but may be too much if you’re trying to throw it over your shoulder for a train ride or a hike somewhere.

Is It Safe?

• Pros:comfy/cozy, quick to inflate, no metal bars, easy to transport in a car, easy clean
• Cons:bigger than expected while deflated, mildly tricky to figure out the inflation process (maybe I should’ve watched the instruction video first...), the price tag

When it came to the comfort side of things, Bubbie really was in his element in the Enventur. And even if I might not be bringing it with us for a hike to a camp site, I’ll definitely be throwing it in the car for any and all future road trips.
