老实说:机器人拖把经常听起来像一个衣服am come true (never slosh around a water bucket again!)—but reality rarely meets expectations. Some trounce over yourrugs, or leave a soggy trail of filmy water wherever they go; others barely clear spills off thetile, or are so noisy you can’t watchTVor hold a conversation while they’re in the same room.

Call us jaded, but we were skeptical, then, when we’d heard rave reviews about theYeedi Mop Station Pro, a combination robot vacuum and mop. But, after a two-month test run on tile, carpet and hardwood floors, we can honestly say it lives up to the hype.

How Does the Yeedi Mop Station Pro Work?

Setup is as simple as plugging in the dock, scanning a QR code on the machine, downloading the app and following the prompts. The Mop Station Pro comes with two compartments you can swap out: a mopping reservoir and a dustbin for vacuuming. While the mopping reservoir also has a small dustbin to capture crumbs—so they’re not just soaked and pushed around your floor—if you’re doing heavy duty vacuuming, you’re better off swapping out the base.

During its initial run, it’ll map out the house. After that, you can use your phone to select which areas you’d like it to clean, even pinching and zooming to focus on a specific zone, if you don’t want it to mop or vacuum the whole house.

What Do You Fill It With?

You don’t need a special cleaning solution for the mop; in fact, Yeedi recommends using purified or softened water only. (We did test it with a squirt of dish soap in the clean water solution, though we noticed no difference in the floors afterward. Too much of an additional product could leave a sticky film anyway, so it’s best to avoid.)

The Pros:

  • Two 3.5-liter tanks = you can go through multiple cleaning sessions without having to refill the water. One pain of other mop vacs we’ve tested is having to refill the water reservoir halfway through cleaning the floors. Yeedi cleaned a two-bedroom house three times before going through its clean water tank. (Also, having separate clean and dirty water tanks is nice to avoid cross-contamination.)
  • Yeedi dries its own mopping pads, so you don’t have to constantly clean them yourself.Or deal with stinky mopping pads—another hassle we’ve run into with other brands.
  • 它的相对平静。Not silent, for sure, but quieter than other brands we’ve tested. You may need to turn up the volume, but you won’t need closed captioning to catch all of Jared’s gravelly one-liners onManifest.
  • It does a solid job avoiding carpets in mop mode.It may bump into the edge of the rug, sure, but it won’t crawl across it. This makes it a little challenging in rooms with large area rugs, where it can’t easily get around them to go from one room to the next.
  • Its custom zones are easy to set up.
  • Its adjustable suction and HEPA filters capture everything from pet hair and Goldfish crumbs to ultra-fine dust and dirt.It also has adjustable suction power, based on the type of flooring it’s zipping across.
  • There’s a 30-day return window.If you’re not happy with it, ship it back.

The Cons:

  • The dock is pretty bulky. It has to be, in order to house those massive water tanks, but at 20 inches long by almost 19 inches wide and 18 inches tall, it’s practically a side table.
  • You must delete the floor map and have it re-map the house if you ever move the dock.Otherwise, it will just clean the one room it’s in and never clean the rest of the house (at least in our experience).
  • We struggled to get it to clean areas outside of its map.Our kitchen, for example, is a step up from the rest of the house, so it was ignored in the mapping process. With other robot vacuums/mops, we could just place the device in the kitchen, turn it on, and then physically bring it back to the dock once it’d finished that space. The Mop Station Pro just seemed to get confused and dart around, looking for its dock, sweet, dock.
  • It’s best for single-story homes.Since the robot uses just one floor plan map, it doesn’t really work if you move it to another floor and try to get it to clean there (unless you delete the map, move it to another floor and remap it before cleaning each time, which feels like a hassle).

The Bottom Line:

If you live in a single-story home or apartment and don’t want to deal with mopping and vacuuming, the Yeedi Mop Station Pro really delivers. It left floors gleaming, it’s easy to use and requires little effort on your part.
