Charles Spencer Shares Extremely Rare Throwback Photo of Late Sister Princess Diana on Anniversary of Her Passing

She will always be remembered

WhenCharles Spencer,59, is notsharing historical photoson social media, he can occasionally be foundposting pictures of his family, but rarely any of his late sister,Princess Diana. To mark the anniversary of his sister’s passing,the 9th Earl Spenceris taking a moment to honor her memory by sharing a throwback snap of the two of them from their childhood.

Earlier today, Spencer shared a heartwarming photo featuring himself and his older sister on Instagram. In the pic, we can see a much younger Spencer (wearing a blue shirt and matching blue shorts) smiling widely next to his older sister, who places an arm over his shoulder.

Diana, who looks to be no older than 10, appears to be wearing a pink/white striped summer dress with a short-cut bob.

Royal admirers quickly flocked to the comments section to share their admiration for the throwback photo, with one person writing, “Thank you for posting this. Princess Diana will never be forgotten by those of us who remember her kindness, her charisma, her beauty. She made a difference.” Another follower shared their love for the former Princess of Wales, commenting, “She was so lovely.”

Today marks the 26th anniversary since Princess Dianatragically passed away. On August 31, 1997, Diana and her love interest at the time, Dodi Fayed, were trying to escape the paparazzi when they were in a deadly car accident in the Paris Pont de l’Alma tunnel.

She will forever be missed.
