In the days following, a handful of family, friends and fellow celebs have publically voiced their support for the39-year-old singer.
On Monday, Aguilera shared a lengthy statement of her own on her personal Instagram account. “These past few days I've been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through,” the “Genie in a Bottle” singer wrote on her IG Story. “It is unacceptable that any woman or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.”
