Earlier this week, the SAG-AFTRA membersannounced that they were going on strike, in a show of support with the Writers Guild of America members who havebeen on strike since May 2. However, when Emily Blunt revealed that she wastaking a break from acting, it had nothing to do with the protest.

Of course, Blunt (40) has alreadyshown her supportfor the strike, as she and the rest of theOppenheimercast walked off the red carpet as a sign of solidarity earlier this week. However, before the actors' strike began, Blunt had already announced she was taking a break from the industry in an effort to spend more time with her kids.
