Gwyneth Paltrow Gives Rare Tour Inside Her Minimalist, European-Inspired Montecito Home

We love acelebrity house tour, whether it's an unofficial onewe piece together, or a personal glimpsegiven by the stars themselves. But thanks toArchitectural Digest's Open Door video series, we were recently treated to a full tour of Gwyneth Paltrow's gorgeous Montecito home, and there's plenty to admire.

Besides being neighbors with high-profile figures likeOprah Winfreyand theDuke and Duchess of Sussex帕特洛拥有奢华,巧妙地设计空间thatADcalls her “serene family sanctuary” (and she paidalmost $5 millionfor it when she purchased it back in 2016.)

In the video, we get glimpses of everything from Paltrow's European-inspired entryway to her swoonworthy spa. Take a look in the video below.

TheIron Manactressexplains many of the small details of the home that give it its character, whether it's the hand-painted wallpaper in the powder room, the reclaimed fireplace in the foyer or the Portuguese tiles forming the backsplash in the kitchen.

We see echoes of elements that Paltrow likes, with fireplaces and reclaimed items repeating throughout multiple rooms. She credits much of her taste to European architecture, especially after “having spent so much time as an ex-pat in Europe and really falling in love with Georgian proportions,” as she says at the beginning of the clip.

The actress shares the home with her husband, Brad Falchuk, who she has been married to since 2018. When describing the essence of the abode, Paltrow referred to it as, “a Parisian apartment set within an old European barn, something with high ceilings, flooded with light, a place that feels generous yet manageable at the same time.”

It's also important to note that the home runs on solar power with a gray-water system, in a testament to Paltrow's continued environmental efforts.

Not too shabby, Gwyneth. We'll be waiting for our invite to your next house party.
