Meet the Newly-Announced Cast of Disney’s ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ (Including This 'Ted Lasso' Star)

Bette Midler,Sarah Jessica Parkerand Kathy Najimy will be joined by an impressive cast forHocus Pocus 2,according to Disney’s latest announcement.

The streaming platform revealed on Sunday, which also happened to be Halloween, that eleven new cast members will join the Sanderson Sisters for thehighly-anticipated sequel到1993 fantasy film.

Disney broke the news in a series of messages on Twitter writing, “The black flame candle is alight to the Sanderson sisters’ delight. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, & Kathy Najimy shall soon return/ Joined by new faces which you soon will learn. See more of the spellbinding cast in the next tweet. Enjoy this#Hallowstream treat.”

The new cast members include Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Lilia Buckingham (Crown Lake), Belissa Escobedo (Don’t Look Deeper), Tony Hale (Arrested Development)、山姆·理查森(The Tomorrow War), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf), Taylor Henderson, Juju Brener and Nina Kitchen.

It’s been two years since rumors of a sequel began swirling and since then we’ve been given very few details about the project. However, SJP confirmed her big return back in May with a statement on Instagram, featuring the sequel’s title set against a black background. The actress even tagged her co-stars—Midler and Najimy. Parker captioned the post, “Yep. I’m ready. To run. Amok, amok, amok, amok. [candle emoji] #HocusPocus2 arrives Fall 2022 on @disneyplus Sisters??? X, SJ.”
