Jennifer Garner Is Reprising the Role of Elektra (and Re-Teaming Up with Ryan Reynolds) for ‘Deadpool 3’

Jennifer Garner, 51, is dusting off her sai and slipping into the role of Elektra after a nearly 20-year break.

On Friday afternoon,The Hollywood Reporterannounced that Garner will reprise the role of Elektra in the upcoming十佳3, which is currently in production.

The13 Going on 30actress first played the skilled assassin inDaredevil(2003). Then she reprised the role inElektra(2005). In the Netflix TV seriesDaredevil, which ran from 2015 to 2018, the role was portrayed by Élodie Yung.

Not only will Garner be returning to a role that she hasn't played since 2005, but she will also be reuniting with star Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy. The trio previously worked together on the Netflix filmThe Adam Project, where Reynolds plays a futuristic fighter pilot Adam Reed and Garner plays his mother (in flashbacks).

For十佳3, Garner isn't the only one dusting off her Marvel suit. Hugh Jackman will also bereprising the role of Wolverine(AKA James "Logan" Howlett) for the film.

The last time Jackman portrayed the slashing superhero was in the 2017 filmLogan, but it was announced this past September that he is joining the cast of十佳3.

Now, we've gotour first lookat Jackman in the film, which was shared to social media earlier today. In the pic, his character is wearing his classic yellow suit and walking alongside Deadpool.

We don't have any photos of Garner as Elektra just yet, but we couldn't be more excited to see her show off her superhero skills once again.
