Kate Hudson Is Engaged to Boyfriend of Five Years, Danny Fujikawa

Hudson and Fujikawa's romance goes way back. The actress said inan appearance onThe Talkthat they have known each other for over 15 years because Fujikawa is the stepbrother of her best friends, Sara and Erin Foster. She said, “In terms of family, I’ve known his family forever...To have that connection is really powerful.”

However, the pair didn't start dating until 2016, which Hudsonrevealed on Instagram a year later, saying, “A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date.” The couple have been together ever since, and they even share a child together, namedRani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.

Hudson's best friends showed their excitement in the comments, withSara Fosteralso revealing that the couple's been holding onto this secret for a while. She said, “Whoa. It’s official. Not gonna lie, been a hard secret to keep. I may have slipped and told a few people.”Erin Fosteradded, “Finally we are officially sisters!!”
