Could there be aSuitsreunion on the horizon?! We won't get our hopes up, however, thelegal dramahas been trending all over social media after the first eight seasons were uploaded to Netflix this past June (and the seriesquickly jumpedinto Netflix’s list of most-watched shows).
Now, the revived interest in the show has causedPatrick J. Adams(AKA Michael James Ross), 42, to give a shoutout to his former co-star,Meghan Markle, 42, in his Instagram bio.
In his new bio, Adams humorously described himself as: “The guy from that show you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”
Adams may be onto something with his theory as to whySuitshas blown up again. Of course, there’s no denying that the USA original was successful. During its 134-episode run, the show consistently pulled in millions of viewers, and it received noms at the People’s Choice Awards, the TV Guide Awards and the NAACP Image Awards. Not to mention, the series spawned a spinoff, titledPearson. However, it may be Markle’s star power that has broughtSuitsto an entirely new audience.
Acquiring the series was certainly a savvy move from Netflix, who already has a multi-million-dollar deal with the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry.
