One of the Queen’s Closest Friends Reportedly Just Moved Into Windsor Castle

When Prince Philippassed away in April 2021,英国女王伊丽莎白突然失去了她的人kept by her side for 73 years. So, with her kids (and her grandkids) all grown up, we can imagine that Her Royal Highness gets lonely. But luckily, it sounds like she's keeping her friends close by her side, specifically one friend: Angela Kelly.

Kelly, who is a British fashion designer, has served alongsideQueen Elizabeth as a personal assistant, as well as her Senior Dresser, since 2002. According toVogue, her official title is Personal Assistant, Adviser and Curator to Her Majesty the Queen (Jewellery, Insignias and Wardrobe).

Now, according to a report fromThe Sun, it seems that Kelly has moved into Windsor Castle as a permanent resident. A source told the publication,“[Kelly] lives there now. She has moved in.”

The transition first began back in February, when Queen Elizabeth tested positive for COVID-19. According toThe Sun, Kelly moved in during this lockdown as a part of the queen's “bubble” team, helping with daily activities and other care.

Now, as the queen continues to struggle with her mobility, it appears that her personal assistant has decided to move in full time.

While Buckingham Palace used to be the official residence of Queen Elizabeth, it was reportedback in Marchthat Her Royal Majesty had moved into Windsor Castle.

“Windsor is the place she loves,” Hugo Vickers toldThe UK Times. “She has her memories with Prince Philip there, she has her ponies there and family nearby. It makes sense.”

And now she's got a new housemate. We're glad to hear that the queen is keeping her friends close.
