Sandra Oh’s Oscars Sleeves Should Be Nominated for Best Supporting Actress

Sure, metallics reigned supreme at the 92nd Academy Awards (we see you比利波特!), but the biggest thing to hit the red carpet tonight was actuallySandra Oh’ssleeves.

这位48岁的Killing Evestar’s motto for the evening was most certainly go-big-or-go-home, as demonstrated by her absolutelyenormoussleeves.

Ohgraced the red carpet wearing an effervescent Elie Saab haute couture champagne and blush gown from the spring/summer 2020 collection with Pomellato jewels. It had a bow! It had ruffles! It had a plunging neckline! It even had a sheer, beaded skirt! But we can all agree that Oh’s sleeves were by far the most noticeable element of her look.

Don’t get us wrong—Sandra Oh is a goddess no matter what she selects for a red carpet affair. But still, we have to wonder how she fit those babies in a car. Are they heavy? Do her biceps have room to breathe? And are those sleeves nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama? Because they really should be.

In her BBC series, Oh plays the perpetually nonplussed plain jumper- and windbreaker-wearing Eve Polastri. It appears, however, for this year’s Oscars she opted to adopt her co-star朱迪·卡莫的character’s style (read: extra in the best way possible) and really go for it.

But the best part of the star’s sculptural bunches? Oh will have a couple of really comfy pillows to rest her head on should it turn out to be a particularly late evening.
