Sarah Ferguson Leaks the Nickname of Her Newborn Grandson (and It Isn't the First Time She's Done This)

A new royal baby means a new nickname that we can all gush over.

Sarah Ferguson, 63, revealed her grandson's nickname in the latest episode of her podcastTea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah. Warning: It's pretty darn cute.

After talking about a fun weekend with her grandchildren (which featured a splash pond pool, sandcastles and ice cream), she spilled the sweet nickname for the newborn. "My grandchildren had the most incredible weekend," she said."I was very lucky. I had everybody in. I had Edo and Beatrice and Jack and Eugenie and August and new Ernest. Well, Ernie."

On May 30, Princess Eugenie, 33 and Jack Brooksbank, 37,welcomed their second child: Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. A week later, she shared the first photos of her baby boy and the inspiration behind his name onInstagram.

"Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1 libs," she wrote. "He is named after his great-great-great grandfather George, his grandpa George and my grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."

In thesecond episode of the podcast, Fergie revealed she was brought to tears at the middle name, which honored her own father, Major Ronald Ferguson. "When Jack and Eugenie told me, it was so moving that they had put my dad in there. It was so kind, I thought. It made me cry," she said.

Now, this isn't the first time Ferguson has revealed a sweet nickname for her grandchildren. Back in March,she referred to Siennaas "Sisi" during a visit at the 92nd Street Y in addition to calling Princess Eugenie's two-year-old August "Augie." And of course, Ferguson is known as GG.
