Sofía Vergara Explains Where She Got the Nickname ‘Toty’

“In Barranquilla, Colombia, where I come from, everyone has a nickname,” Vergara says at the beginning of the clip. “And mine was Toty.”

TheAmerica's Got Talentjudge adds: “My older brother Rafael, rest in peace, couldn't pronounce my name and started calling me Toty, instead of Sofi.” (Vergara's brotherwas tragically killedin 1998.)

Vergara launched thetotybrand in June, and she explained the purpose behind the linein an IG post, which read, “Introducingtoty, the vision by @sofiavergara.
