It’s official:Ted LassoactorBrendan Hunt(aka Coach Beard) is getting married!
On Instagram, the writer, co-creator and executive producer, 51, announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Nelson. In a newly shared photo, his soon-to-be-wife smiles while wearing a shiny diamond ring on *that* special finger.
In the caption, Hunt wrote, “The majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying ‘yes.’”
The future bridecelebrated their engagementby sharing not one, buttwophotos taken after the moment she said ‘yes’ on her personal IG page. “We are a family. A beautiful wonderful family and will be for always,” Nelson wrote in the caption. She added, “I get to marry this beautiful man. I get to call him my husband and to be his wife and I am the luckiest.”
The surprise proposal comes two years after the couple welcomed their son, Sean Theodore Nelson Hunt. TheTed Lassostar has shared small glimpses of his life as a dad on social media. Back in March 2022, the actor posted a photo of him happily carrying his son on his shoulders.
The caption read: “Hold ‘em close, y’all,” alongside a red heart emoji.
It’s only been a few weeks since Hunt and the rest of theTed Lassocast said goodbye to the series in the第三季大结局, which aired exclusively onApple TV+.
Despite the show’s success, Jason Sudeikis (one of the show’s stars and producers) hinted in an interview withDeadlinethat season three will likely be the last.
“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell,” he explained to the outlet.
