Panna cotta, the traditional Italian dessert, always让我们感觉的when we order it at a restaurant. So much so that we feel intimidated to make it at home, but in reality, it’s actually really simple. This version calls for just three ingredients: eggnog, dairy milkand gelatin. Permission granted to make it for every holiday party you attend this year.

Ingredients

¼ ounce gelatin (from 1 packet)

¼ cup colddairy milk

2¾ cups cold eggnog, divided

Freshly grated nutmeg, for serving

Directions

1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the milk. Let it stand to soften for about 5 minutes, until the surface appears wrinkled.

2. In a saucepan over high heat, heat ¾ cup of the eggnog until scalding. Stir in the gelatin mixture, then add the remaining 2 cups eggnog. Reduce theheat to low and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.

3. Divide the mixture evenly among six 4-ounce mini mason jars. Chill in the refrigerator until set, at least 3 hours. Garnish with nutmeg before serving.
