You mayknow and love the brand Awayfor its sleek hard-case luggage complete with built-in USB charger (and a cult Instagram following), but there’s more more to Away than just suitcases. The brand recently introduced twogorgeous leather handbag styles, as well asa mini CBD kitto combat travel anxiety as part of a collaboration with Feals. This latest launch, however, might just be our favorite to date. And it will likely be Fido and Fluffy’s favorite too.
That’s right, Away just debuteda chic travel-ready carrierto make vacations with your pup or kitty both easier and more stylish. The carrier currently comes in one size designed for pets weighing up to 18 pounds and is fits all the requirements set by most U.S. airlines, including Delta, United and American Airlines. It’s also been awarded a 5-Star Crash Test Rating by the Center for Pet Safety, the maximum score a carrier can earn. It opens both on the side and at the top for whichever method you find easier for sneaking a sleepy Milo in there before he wakes up. There’s also a safety collar clip to prevent any sudden escapes upon opening the bag. (Navigating your way through the airport is stressful enough without having to sprint through the terminal after Princess Buttercup.)
As for the style aspects, the nylon exterior is water resistant with delicate leather trim and comes in two colors, classic black and coast, a blue/gray hue (pictured above). The interior features easily removable machine-washable sherpa bedding and there are mesh panels on three sides for max air flow and ventilation. There are a multitude of pockets to stow your wallet, keys and cellphone as well as treats, poop bags and any maybe a toy or two for your fuzzy buddy. Much like Away’s human-size suitcases, the pet carrier is also monogram-able with the option of adding up to three letters in one of twelve colors to the side of the bag.
