Your Weekly Horoscopes: April 12 to 18, 2020

Aries season does not come quietly. The sun—our life force—squares off with transformative Pluto on the 14th and then expansive Jupiter on the 15th. Tensions are extremely high. Focus on the present instead of losing yourself to future plans. Now that communication planet Mercury is in spitfire Aries, making supportive connections to both harmonious Venus and aggressive Mars on the 18th, we have what it takes to be considerate while still getting the job done. Solutions come as easily with force as they do with compromise.

(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that will provide further insight.)

12 aries

Frustrations with your boss or your general work situation on the 14th propel you into problem-solving mode on the 15th. You need someone to look up to if you’re going to keep working from home without losing your cool. If no one is around, it might be time to step into version 2.0 of yourself. Necessity is the mother of invention, after all. If you have to put someone in their place via email or text on the 18th, ask a trusted friend to act as a sounding board before you lay down the law.

This week’s mantra:Take control of the situation.

1 taurus

This week’s blessing is that—perhaps for the first time since December—your money situation is fairly under control. Funnel away what you can into savings and make sure you are setting aside some funds to help those in need. You don’t have to throw your life savings at the pandemic but continue to give what you can. On the 18th, you are asked to organize a fundraising effort or to talk a few friends through their own financial stress. Sometimes your time is just as important as money.

This week’s mantra:Save it for a reason.

2 gemini

All eyes are on you this week, Gemini. You are a guiding light for many of your friends, but the constant FaceTimes and Zoom birthday parties and virtual happy hours are starting to take their toll on your mental health. After the 15th, spend at least one day free from virtual hangs. Focusing on work and family responsibilities keeps the FOMO at bay and allows you to find some peace. Put your pent-up creative energy into revitalizing your skincare routine or planting seeds for an indoor garden on the 18th.

This week’s mantra:Embrace the introvert in you.

3 cancer

Your commitments are weighing on you this week, dear moonchild. Even while isolating, you seem to be biting off more than you can chew. On the 14th, you reach your limit as you kick and scream through something you just don’t want to do. At all. As the week progresses, ask for help: from your husband, from your coworkers and from your friends. Make time for meditation and lots of extra sleep, especially on the 18th. Let someone else be the voice of reason for once.

This week’s mantra:You’re doing the best you can.

4 leo

Spending too much time lost in your thoughts—on the 14th or 15th especially—stressed you out even more than usual. Your salve this week is doing your chores.Focus on the things you can control: try to get a new personal best on a run, help elderly neighbors with grocery shopping or do adeep clean的储藏室。18日,一个轻松的晚上your hubby or a birthday surprise for your BFF is pulled off without a hitch. Enjoy it from the comfort of your clean house.

This week’s manta:Get out of your head.

5 virgo

You are feeling powerless this week, dear Virgo. Maybe your favorite client has run into some money trouble and can’t pay you for your services. Maybe your spacy coworker isn’t pulling her weight and you’re grinding overtime from your couch. Maybe your husband is still required to go into work, and it’s you who is stuck full-timehomeschoolingand entertaining your kids. If you’re still feeling defeated by the 18th, a candid conversation solves the problem quickly.

This week’s mantra:You deserve support.

6 libra

Feelings of inadequacy may come up this week as you try to find balance between supporting yourself and supporting your family. It’s OK if you have to leave the Zoom Happy Hour with your cousins early. It’s OK if you don’t want to do a puzzle with your roommate. You might be alone, but you’re feeling a lack of privacy, and this comes to a head on the 14th and 15th. Give yourself time to work on creative projects or re-commit to a spiritual practice later in the week. You can escape through pleasure.

This week’s mantra:Privacy is priority.

7 scorpio

Though last week’s full moon gave you the opportunity to rest, this week, you’re back to the daily grind. How can you rearrange your schedule to better take care of yourself? On the 15th, a conversation with your partner about household responsibilities or with your coworkers about shortening the daily check-in calls ends up being more productive than you thought it could be. By the end of the week, with things falling into more of a flow, you feel like less of a prisoner in your own home.

This week’s mantra:Be clear about your needs.

8 sagittarius

One-on-one interactions—whether that’s quality quarantine time with your kid or a cathartic catchup with an old friend—are your medicine this week. Plans to do something relaxing are thwarted on the 14th (potentially when your credit card is declined as you try to order takeout for the first time all month!), but don’t let this ruin all the fun. On the 18th, after you sort out some of those ceaseless money issues, you finally get to have the conversation you’ve craved.

This week’s mantra:Don’t mind the snag in the path.

The only person keeping you from relaxing is you, dear Capricorn. If you’re in a cycle of compare and despair, constantly worrying that you haven’t “accomplished enough” during this incredibly stressful time, remember that you don’t have to writeKing Lear. You don’t even have to pen a viral tweet. You just have to do the best you can. After the 15th, spend time luxuriating in all the little details thatarein your control. Which canned bean shall you put into the improvised casserole? Which nail polish shall you choose at your stay-at-home salon?

This week’s mantra:There’s magic in the mundane.

10 aquarius

You were really starting to rock a solid quarantine schedule: morning yoga on Instagram Live, afternoon podcast walk with a matcha latte and evening puzzle paired with a foot soak. But on the 14th, a wrench is thrown into your isolation vibe. Your kids are getting stir crazy and your wife can no longer help them with their math homework (the quadratic formula is hard, people). Sacrifice some of your personal pleasures so everyone else can feel a bit more relaxed. By the 18th, we have a feeling you've helped your kids to master every dance on TikTok.

This week’s mantra:Be flexible.

11 pisces

平静来自本周单独反映。Though tons of old friends seem to be coming out of the woodwork on the 14th and 15th wanting to catch up or share their woes with your ever-patient ear, just ignore them. They will still be waiting to catch up when you’re ready to listen. For now, go inward. Shut your door, light a candle and spend time journaling or breathing with your yoga practice. By the 18th, you have become an expert at securing peace.

This week’s mantra:Peace is within.
