While on a recent work trip to the U.K., myRoyally Obsessedself couldn’t help but detour to get a facial atSarah Chapman, the skincare clinic long-renowned for gifting Meghan Markle with her radiant glow. (Markle famously saw Chapman the day beforeher wedding to Prince Harryin 2018.) But Markle was just one of many reasons I was eager to drop by the clinic.
查普曼是一个杰出的人,而不仅仅是在伦敦,但around the world. Known for her cutting-edge skincare technology and her signature “gymnastics” massage technique that lifts the muscles and encourages drainage using just her hands, clients rave about the immediate and lasting results you get after her treatments. In fact, the morning of my appointment, I mentioned to an editor friend that I had somehow snagged an appointment at Chapman’s discrete boutique in the heart of London’s Sloane Square, and she gasped: “She changed the way I care for my skin—for good.”
While my treatment at her Skinesis Clinic wasn’t with Chapman herself, it was with one of her highly trained dermal therapists, who left my depleted skin feeling hydrated, depuffed—and, quite frankly, in a meditative state. I opted for theSkinesis Bespoke Facialto the tune of 170 pounds (about $215) and it was worth every penny. The pinching, tapping and flicking motions of her massage technique woke up my complexion, but so did my therapist’s advice for maximizing moisture. (See below.)
Something else that surprised me was that much of Chapman’s Skinesis skincare line was specifically designed to target dry and depleted skin (aka the main problem I’ve faced throughout my life.) Even more surprising: How delightful and unpretentious the entire spa experience was—especially considering the celeb clientele, which includes Victoria Beckham, Naomi Watts and Uma Thurman.
