You Guys, Here’s What Happened with Kate Middleton (& Her Body Language) at Tennis Match with Roger Federer

Kate Middletonsure has some killertennis skills. ThePrincess of Wales, 41, competed in a friendly tennis match against Grand Slam champRoger Federer, 41, during a visit to the Wimbledon Ball Boys & Girls training facility earlier this month. And fortunately, the royal fam shared a video of the event on social media.

Even more fortunate for us, body language expert Darren Stanton analyzed Princess Catherine’s behavior during the tennis day and shared his thoughts on her demeanor and attitude.

Stanton shared that the royal princess displayed “confidence” and “openness” during the outing. “Kate’s body language was extremely confident as she appeared in a video with Roger Federer ahead of this year’s Wimbledon. However, at the same time, she wasn’t overpowering or intimidating to anybody,” he said (on behalf ofBetfair Slots).

Stanton added, “She displayed plenty of nice, open-palm gestures as she spoke to the people in the clip, which signifies that she was open to talking and interacting with them. She also showed lots of genuine smiles. It was nice as Kate was obviously there to learn, rather than feeling that she was above everyone else.”

As it turns out, Middleton left a strong impression on her opponent. Stanton went on to say the tennis star was “impressed” by Princess Catherine’s “confident” sporting ability on the court.

“I think Roger was secretly impressed by her levels of confidence throughout the video,” the body language expert told PureWow. “Kate appeared totally poised behind the ball, especially in front of the tennis star. She definitely took it in her stride, as she always does.”

Overall, Stanton revealed the royal princess showed “strong levels of authenticity” throughout the video clip. He said, “The video was generally a fantastic piece of footage of Kate. She is continuing to push the value that she wants to be totally relatable to everybody.”

The purpose behind the tennis outing (and match) involved raising awareness and Princess Kate and Federer learning what the teens who are a part of the Ball Boys and Girls program do to train for matches and competitions.

This is certainly not the first time Princess Kate has played against Federer on the tennis court. Last year, the mother of three played against the athlete in aplanned charity matchto help raise money for two charities she cares for deeply:Action for Childrenand theLTA Foundation.

The duo also teamed up withLaver Cupto sponsor a charitable event called “Open Practice Day,” in which fans can have a chance to watch players from Team Europe and Team World practice.

You go, Kate!
