The Duchess of Cambridge typically carries small handbags or clutches, so seeing her with a full-on travel tote is quite the surprise. But it seems that Middleton didn’t choose her handbag willy-nilly. In fact, it’s not only practical, but it also has a meaningful name.

As you may remember, Kensington Palace revealed that their trip was meant to signify the long-held relationship between Britain and Pakistan and to introduce the modern Pakistan to the world. You might call that an East meets West kind of situation (yep, like the name of the bag).

Although Middleton’s exact tote is sold out, the Smythson Panama tote ($1,195) features the same pebbled leather, gold foil logo lettering and ample space. All it’s really missing is the zip enclosure and front pocket.
