On Instagram, the 46-year-old actress shared a video of herself reenacting the popular “I’m not gonna do it girl” trend from TikTok. In the middle of the clip, theLittle Fires Everywherestar showed an exclusive report fromPeoplemagazine, revealing that she’s releasing her first-ever memoir,Thicker Than Water, this fall.

The caption read, “I did it. I wrote a book [shocked emoji]. #ThickerThanWater comes out on September 26th. Link in bio to preorder now!”

As it turns out, Washington made the big announcement on the same day as her 46th birthday. So, many of her celebrity friends shared a combination of congratulatory and birthday messages in the comments section.
