Matthew McConaughey, 53, and his wife,Camila Alves, 41, just gave their oldest son, Levi, the ultimate 15th birthday present: his very own Instagram account.
To celebrate the joyous occasion, the couple posted a video of themselves revealing the big surprise on their separate IG pages. “Happy birthday Levi Alves McConaughey,” McConaughey said in the birthday tribute video, which was posted on Friday, July 7. “Can you believe it?” Alves chimed in.
Even though his wife openly shared that she is a “little nervous” about their son’s gift,The Wolf of Wall Streetstar went on to add that they are allowing him to join the world of social media.
“Yes, we are allowing you, today on your 15th birthday, to join the social media universe,” he said. His wife added, “Yes, all his friends have had it for long time. We’ve been holding out.”
Before ending the message, McConaughey shared that his son has a “great story to tell” and encouraged Levi to “enjoy the adventure” with his newly created IG account.
In honor of the launch of hisnew social media profile, the teenager posted a highlight reel showcasing his interests and personality to his followers—and he looked like a younger version of his dad.
