Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Pay Tribute to Princess Diana in the Sweetest Way During Surprise Appearance

Meghan Markle and Prince Harryare sharing their love for the environment with a group of very lucky preschoolers.

On Monday, theDuke and Duchess of Sussex意外出现在学前Learning Center in Los Angeles to volunteer in the organization's garden. During the event, which takes place every year, the couple joined children in replanting flowers and healthy foods.

TheAssistance League of Los Angeles, which runs the learning center, shared a slideshow from the event featuring the duo getting their hands dirty (literally). “In addition to helping the children replant the Preschool Learning Center's garden, they spent time with them, sharing their appreciation for nature and helping to instill the importance of healthy eating,” part of the caption read. “We truly appreciate their time and care for our students.”

The event also happened to land on the 23rd anniversary of the passing of Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana. In a tribute to honor her, Meghan and Harry planted the princess’s favorite flower, the forget-me-not.

According toHarpers Bazaar, aside from the forget-me-nots, the duo also planted a mix of petunias, California wildflowers, tomatoes, squash and sweet peas before reading a handful of books to the students, includingJack and the Beanstalk.

This is the second surprise appearance made by the pair in the last two weeks. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also recentlypaid a visittoBaby2Baby’sdrive-through, socially distanced distribution of school necessities at Knox Elementary School. During the outing,the couple distributeditems to families in need who are preparing forthe new academic year.

Looks like Los Angeles is already learning a lot from these two.
