You know howZooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scottmet while filmingCarpool Karaoke? Well, we finally have video footage of their legendary meet cute.
Over the weekend, Apple TV debuted a brand-new teaser forCarpool Karaoke: The Series, which features the first time theNew Girlstar, 40, met her now-boyfriend, 41.
In this particular segment, Deschanel and her sister, Emily, challenge Scott and his brother, Drew, to a sibling rivalry karaoke session.
Prior toCarpool Karaoke, the Deschanel sisters had never met theProperty Brothersstars. Still, that didn’t stop them from belting everything from “…Baby One More Time” to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” which is the same song that Deschanel sang inElf.
We first learned about Deschanel and Scott’s relationship back in September 2019 when they werephotographed holding handsas they arrived at Little Dom’s restaurant in Silverlake, California. Shortly after, a source confirmed that the pair hit it off while filmingCarpool Karaoke. Things eventually turned romantic, and well, you get the idea.
“They were doingCarpool Karaokeand they had a really fun day,” the source toldPeoplemagazine. “They became friends after and then started talking as friends and realized there was more to it.”
Shout-out to James Corden, who is probably adding “matchmaking” to his already extensive resume.
