It’s hard to achievethat summer glowwhile also trying toprotect your skin. (For instance, we certainly wouldn't advise you to go out and lather yourself up with cooking oil, no matter how quickly it may offer a bronze sheen.) However, there's a product from Tan-Luxe, calledTHE FACE Illuminating Self-Tan Drops($25), which may be the solution to our face tanning problems.

In the latest episode of PureWow'sTake My MoneyYouTube series, we watch as creator Kate tests out the drops for herself. Do they really offer that desired tan without causing her to break out? Let's find out.

As Kate notes, this product is geared towards those who apply self-tanner to their bodies, but want their faces to have a similar shade.

“I'm hoping this helps tan my face a bit and doesn't let me break out because I get breakouts very easily,” Kate says.

So, after mixing a few drops of the self-tanner (the brand recommends up to twelve) with her moisturizer, Kate lets the drops soak into her skin to see if it really makes a difference.

And what was the result? Well, you'll have to watch the video above to find out. You can shop the product (which isbeloved by Kelly Ripa, btw) below.
