Kate Middleton Quietly Reveals 'Secret' Age After Young Fan Asks How Old She Is

Kate Middleton tapped into her inner child for her latest royal engagement, and she made quite an impression on her young royal fans.

This past week, thePrincess of Wales, 41, visited the newly renovatedYoung V&Achildren's museum in London, where she toured the new galleries, met with staff members and spoke with a curious group of local primary school students. But most notably, perThe Daily Mail, one of the children asked her how old she was, and she playfully replied with her 'top secret' age: "I'm 41. Shhh…don't tell anyone."

The princess also told the group a bit about her children, Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5). She said, "My daughter Charlotte is going into year four now. And then George is in year five, and Louis is in reception."

The princess, who is V&A's first-ever patron, was greeted with smiles and hugs from Globe Primary School students during her tour of the museum. And on Twitter, the school's official page shared pics of the heartwarming moment. They tweeted, "Big hugs from Globe children to the Princess of Wales at the preview of our wonderful local museum, the Young V&A."

According toThe Daily Mail, the museum's staff worked closely with the local schoolchildren to redesign parts of the space. And now, the institute houses three new galleries called Play, Imagine and Design. They have close to 2,000 pieces on display, including toys and sculptures, and they're meant to inspire creativity.

The royal's involvement with the museum comes as no surprise, given her ongoing mission to prioritize early childhood development. In fact, just a few weeks ago, the princess launched a new Taskforce for Early Childhood, where she aims to look at childhood "holistically."
