Kate Middleton Keeps It Casual-Chic For Her Latest Outing—Here’s How to Get the Look

Kate Middleton knows how to switch up the vibe of an outfit in an instant. Take, for example, her wardrobe change between two royal engagements yesterday.

After an afternoon at Ark Open Farm in Northern Ireland, where she spoke about herEarly Years Foundation Five Big Questions Surveyand played with farm animals (including, strangely, a snake), the 38-year-oldDuchess of Cambridgeheaded over to Scotland for a cuppa and some conversation.

While traipsing about the farm, Middleton sported an olive-greenBarbour defense waxed jacket($450), a cashmere turtleneck, skinny jeans and the same Penelope Chilvers long-tassled boots ($616) she donned on herfirst outing back与路易王子产假。她配对the look with the same UFO gold drop earrings thatshe sported during her royal tour of Pakistanlast October.

For her visit to Social Bite café in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the Countess of Strathearn (fun fact: that’s her royal title in Scotland) swapped out her boots and jacket to reveal another smart casual look.

Middletontraded her Barbour jacket for the sleek (and long sold-out) Delaney coat byReiss, which she also wore during a 2013 engagement. She kept her skinny jeans, Pure Collection cornflower blue cashmere turtleneck ($175) and earrings the same and swapped her riding boots forRussell and Bromley Fallon dry ankle boots($385). It’s not clear what brand her jeans are, but theJoe’s Flawless Charlie skinnies($169; $99) are a close matchandthey’re on sale.

The countess’s outfit seems like the ultimate coffee date look and honestly, we might just try and recreate it for work tomorrow.

Aside from modeling a great casual-chic look, Middleton met with Aberdeen locals to discuss her Early Childhood survey, which now has more than 200,000 participants. She actively sought to speak with Social Bite employees, volunteers and customers who have lived through homelessness to learn how their experiences in early life impacted them. According to theKensington Palace Instagram, “Social Bite runs social enterprise cafés across Scotland and distributes food and hot drinks to people experiencing homelessness.”

Now that’s a worthy cause and a news-worthy outfit.
