We always thoughtKelly Ripa’s children—Michael(26),Lola(22) andJoaquin(20)—resembled their father,Mark Consuelos. But that all changed once we saw this rare throwback photo of Joaquin as a child.
Ripa recently shared a never-before-seen picture on her personal Instagram account, featuring Joaquin posing with underwear on his head alongside Consuelos’s dad, Saul. And we can’t get over the likeness between Ripa and Joaquin. (Two words: Those eyes.)
In the photo, Joaquin looks just like his mom (52). Everything from his light eyes to his close-lipped smile is a dead ringer for Ripa. Of course, there’s no denying the resemblance to his dad with his round face and brunette hair. But if we had to guess, we’d say that Joaquin is a momma’s boy.
In the caption, Ripa referencedher game show,Generation Gap: “Just a friendly TBT reminder that an all newGeneration Gapis on ABC tonight at 8/7c. (No this is not a Gap ad, but it really should be.)”
Joaquin is currently a student at the University of Michigan, where he’s amember of the wrestling team. Although it’s a long drive from New York City to Ann Arbor, his parents havebecome his biggest fans. Earlier this year, Consuelos made the journey in honor of the Big 10 wrestling championships.
Ripa couldn’t attend the event in-person, but that didn’t stop her from showing support on social media. She re-shared a video on her Instagram Story from the UMich wrestling team’s account and wrote a simple caption: “Go Blue.”
