Swifties, you're gonna want to hear this, and as Taylor Swiftonce said: “Drop everything now.” As we well know, the 33-year-old singerloves making announcements in the middle of the night. So naturally, as Miss Americana closed the final stop of the first U.S. leg of herEras Tour, she had a major piece of news to give her fans (at 2 a.m.). Turns out, Swift is releasing her1989 (Taylor's Version)album on October 27 (and you can pre-order the vinyl and CDhere).

In classic Taylor fashion, she hinted at the announcement all throughout the show by replacing a number of her costume staples with exact replicas in blue. (FYI: Blue is the color associated with the1989era.) Prior to the L.A. stop, a number of observant fanspredictedthat this show would include a1989 (Taylor's Version)announcement, given that it was taking place on August 9 (8/9). Seems they were right.

This will be the fourth LP that Swift has re-recorded, followingFearless (Taylor's Version),Red (Taylor's Version)andSpeak Now (Taylor's Version). All three of these previous releases debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, with the latter making Swift thewoman with the most no. 1 albumsin the history of the chart, surpassing Barbra Streisand.

Now, Swift is adding another offering in her efforts to gain control of her first six studio albums—the masters weresold to Scooter Braunand his holding company, Ithaca Holdings LLC., back in 2019. (The final two yet to be re-recorded are her debut,Taylor Swift, and her sixth studio album,Reputation.)

During the Los Angeles stop, TayTay certainly felt the love from her fans, who gave her thebiggest standing ovationof the Eras Tour yet—a whopping 8-minutes.

Now that the first U.S. leg is done, Swift won't have much time to relax. She'll be headed to Mexico at the end of the month to kick off the international leg of her tour, which will continue in 2024.

In the meantime, we'll be counting down the days until1989 (Taylor's Version)comes out, which will include five never-before-heard songs “from the vault.” We'll also probably get a new music video from Swift (who has been directing all of her recent visuals).

We're running out of money, Taylor, but our excitement for these new albums never runs out.
