Taylor Swift Reportedly Meets with ‘Succession’ Writer to Discuss New TV Series

As reported byThe Sun,Swift allegedly met with Birch to discuss a new “meta-feminist” TV series.

A source told the publication: “Taylor is a multi-talented individual and while her love life has given her ten No. 1 albums, it is also in the early stages of spawning a new TV show. She has been introduced to Alice and they have started discussing a possible new screenplay.”

Why did Swift want to meet with Birch specifically? Well, it wasn't just because the singer-songwriter was sitting at home bingeing that wholefinal season.

“Alice is an ideal writing partner as she helped shapeSuccessioncharacter Shiv Roy,” the source added. “Seeing how she molded this character, who existed in a male-dominated environment, caught Taylor’s eye.”

Apparently, the two were brainstorming ideas and Swift was looking to her past relationships for inspiration. “This translates easily on to the screen and there are so many threads they can take from it,” the source noted.

After directing a number of her own music videos, including“The Man,”“Cardigan,”“Bejeweled,”and “All Too Well” (which made herthe first artistto win the Grammy for Best Music Video with a solo directing credit on her own visual), Swift is reportedly working on her feature film debut with Searchlight Pictures, as reported byVarietylast December. However, details of the film are being kept under wraps.
